Therapy can help you address the traumatic event and process your feelings and emotions about it. It can also teach you coping skills to better respond to reminders and emotions associated with the traumatic event(s).

Therapy can help create positive behavior changes and allow the other individual to accept more personal responsibility for their own actions.

Individual therapy
This is designated for individuals to process and explore their thoughts. Typically, sessions are weekly or bi-weekly.

Group therapy
Group therapy involves one or more therapist working with several people at the same time. Groups generally range from 3 to 10 clients and focus on specific issues. Group is 1 to 2 hours a week and ranges from 3 to 6 weeks in total.
